Grameen Vikas Sanstha has implemented Target Intervention Program Female Sex Worker (FSW) since 2008 to 2021 in District Meerut. In this program we are covering 15 hotspot areas from Urban & Rural Area of the city. The objective of this program is to bring behavior change in sexual practices for Preventing HIV infection among Female Sex Work by introducing safe methods, proper counseling and time to time testing of HIV at ICTC/PPTCT Centre.
Target Intervention resource effective way to implement HIV prevention and care program in setting with low-level and concentrated HIV epidemic. They are also a Cost-effective method of reaching people who are host at risk in more generalized epidemic.
We have also implementing following activities for awareness as :- (1) Peer dialogue-based IPC. (2) Mid Media Activity. (3) Street Play (4) Film Show. (5) Static Clinic and Satellite clinic (6) Counseling Activities. (7) Advocacy Meeting and
Grameen Vikas Sanstha Targeted Intervention Program is running since September 2017 for Injecting Drugs Users in District Meerut, the NGO works in associated with and supportfrom National Aids Control Organization and Uttar Pradesh State Aids Control Society eradicated the prevalence of HIV/AIDS through mediums like sharing Needle and Syringe and sexual Contact.
The Aim of this program is to offer prevention and care service to high risk group specially Injecting Drug users Injecting Drugs Users IDUs within the community by providing them with the information, means and skills they need to minimize HIV transmission and improving their access to care, support and treatment service.
We have also implementing various following activities for Community and High Rish Group awareness:(1)Peer Dialogue Base (Inter-Personal Communication) (2) Counseling & Behavior Base Communication (3) Mid Media & Street Play Activity (4) Advocacy and Crisis Meeting (5) Needle Syringe Distribution and return & condom Outlet(6) Community Mobilization and Enabling Environment.
