Health Program

The organization has been operating a primary school in the flood-prone area of River Ganga (Khadar) in District Ghaziabad since 1999. In this school, we provide education to children who are economically disadvantaged and come from backward classes. Through this program, the organization has consistently achieved success in increasing the literacy rate from 40% to 50%. Although it is a challenging task, the organization’s members are working diligently, and the result is evident in the successful operation of the school. We have established proper infrastructure for the students, including 8 rooms, a corridor, adequate furniture, sports materials, and a teaching staff of six. During our journey, we overcame the following barriers:

Flood-prone Environment: The location in Khadar, along the River Ganga, presented a significant challenge due to its susceptibility to frequent floods, making it difficult to establish stable infrastructure

Financial Constraints of the Community: The economic disadvantages faced by the local community meant that families struggled to afford education for their children. The loss of livelihoods during floods exacerbated this financial strain.

Lack of Government Support: Despite the crucial need for educational facilities in the area, there was a notable absence of external support from the government, making it imperative for the organization to rely on alternative means for resources.

Limited Resources: The scarcity of resources, both in terms of funding and materials, posed a barrier to the construction and sustained operation of the school.

Community Skepticism: Convincing the local community of the feasibility and benefits of the school required overcoming initial skepticism, as some have been hesitant to invest hope in an initiative faced with such challenging circumstances.

Despite these formidable challenges, our organization has been unwavering in its commitment to providing education to economically disadvantaged children from backward classes in the flood-prone region of Khadar. Successfully overcoming the barriers, we established a primary school that operates free of cost, showcasing the dedication of our members
